Mluleki Ncube – Chief Executive Officer Mluleki Ncube has significant experience in general marketing, media audience research and in using AMPS, TAMS and RAMS databases. He gained most of his hands on experienced in marketing and media audience research when he worked for the South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF). Mr Ncube was employed by SAARF as Technical Support Executive from October 2000 until February 2005 when he was appointed CEO at Quest Research Services. Mluleki holds an MBA in strategic management ( Thames Valley University), is a Chartered Marketer (CM)SA, and was a part-time lecturer in marketing research at the AAA school of advertising from 2002 to 2006. He has travelled to countries such as Kenya, Ghana, Mauritius, Cameroon, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Mauritius and Zimbabwe coordinating the Pan African Media Research Organisation (PAMRO). He has presented a number of papers in international and local conferences. His papers include the following: “The changing South African Landscape” presented at the SAMRA Convention in May 2003 in Gaborone, Botswana. “The Flooding Radio Audience Research Methodology”, presented at the PAMRO conference in August 2004 in Douala. ________________________________________________________________
Nomathamsanqa Jubane - Finance Director Norma has extensive experience in financial accounting having worked for over six years in the finance industry. She also has solid understanding of administrative work and customer relations, hence is a valuable asset to QRS. Since she joined QRS, she has been responsible for finance administration, budget design and evaluation, preparing financial reports and client financial liaison. ________________________________________________________________
Cletus Dube - Research Director Cletus joined QRS as Regional Operations Director in 2004. He brings on board 10 years consumer, customer, shopper, employee and social research experience from several African markets and has worked for several large corporations including Xerox and Edcon retail. He is experienced in desk, qualitative and quantitative research (i.e. design, sampling, field work, data processing, reporting and recommendations). Cletus is also experienced in managing internal and external stakeholder expectations.(e.g. client satisfaction, professionalism, efficiency, quality, growth, profitability etc). He has successfully coordinated research in Sub Saharan Africa and believes QRS has been strategically positioned to help growth-hungry businesses explore emerging markets in South Africa and beyond. ________________________________________________________________
Jarrot Mpofu – Operations Director Jarrot Mpofu is responsible for the field and administrative departments. Jarrot manages a wide range of projects on a daily basis. Jarrot possesses over 10 years experience in management and within the research industry. Jarrot has gained experience in both quantitative and qualitative research.He has managed several projects such as; Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, South African Broadcasting Corporation, American Bar Association and South African Revenue Service. ________________________________________________________________
Peter Scott-Wilson - Consultant and Analyst Peter Scott-Wilson is a research and branding specialist and has over 20 years of marketing research experience in South Africa, including 10 years working in Africa. The majority of his marketing research experience was with Markinor, where he was a director and shareholder. He has undertaken research for a wide cross-section of the brands and companies in South Africa, applying different research methodologies. In 1992, Markinor linked up with Walker Information based in the USA, a recognised leader in the field of Customer Satisfaction Measurement and Management, which included Employee Commitment Studies as well asssessments of the other key stakeholders. Peter managed this relationship and gained extensive knowledge in this area over a seven-year period. He oversaw more than 70 customer satisfaction/employee surveys in diverse fields. His experience includes the implementation of CSM findings within organisations. This experience with Stakeholder measurement and management has been applied in a wide cross section of markets where behavioural modeling. As in this study where we need to establish the link between perceptions and behaviour Peter studied mathematics and statistics at Wits University and is a current member of SAMRA (SA Market Research Association). He has served on SAMRA council and has been Vice-chairman of the association ________________________________________________________________
Dr Clive Corder - Consultant and Analyst Dr Corder is one of the independent consultants that we consult as and when we need alternative views on complex issues in research and legal matters. He is an Independent Marketing Research Consultant focussing on design of research programmes, interpretation of research results, legal cases, scenario development, statistical modelling and training. DPhil University of Pretoria, thesis subject 'Identification of a multi-ethnic South African typology'. Registered research psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Previously Visiting Professor in Marketing in the School of Economics and Business Studies, Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Commerce, University of the Witwatersrand, 1996-99. Past Chairman Emeritus of ACNielsen MRA (Market Research Africa) 1995-1999. Previously Chairman & Managing Director. Personally responsible for over 3200 research studies covering a wide range of subjects in Germany, Japan, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Main research interests: advertising response, behaviour modelling, crosscultural research, decision choice models, environmental issues, media synergy, research and the law, social change, typologies and scenarios. ________________________________________________________________
Vincent Shahim - Consultant and Analyst Vincent has over 25 years experience in market research. In addition to his degree he also completed a number of statistical courses through Unisa. He has extensive experience in research design and in applying statistical and modeling techniques in quantitative market research projects. Vincent has previously worked for Ipsos Markinor and Research International and now has his own research consultancy business, Leading Edge Research. He has worked together with Quest Research on a number of research projects.
