Quest Research Services is South Africa's official partner of GiPA

GiPA (Groupement inter Professionnel de l'Automobile) is an international player in Automotative Aftersales Research with over 25 years within the arena. GiPA is spread over 25 countries in the world and works with all the major international automotive brands among them:

In keeping with international trends in the industry were demand for knowledge of the emerging markets is the driving trend, GiPA has entered into agreement with Quest Research Services in order to strategically position themselves within South Africa as well as Sub-Saharan Africa.

Quest Research Services (QRS) is a full service research firm which is 100% black owned and managed with 20% of the ownership stake in female hands. Quest Research Services was chosen by GiPA after an extensive selection process as a partner on the basis of its experience in conducting fieldwork in SADC countries and its successful work and relationships with International Research and Automotive firms over the past eight years.

The lucrative partnership between the two companies entails that QRS acts as an intermediary with future and existing clients of GiPA by conducting the data collection, processing and marketing of the GiPA brands, throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The partnership will commence with the launch of Panorama Aftersales Data on the local market which comprises of 1 000 deep interviews of drivers covering all of South Africa and a large sample of service providers, dealers, independent workshops and an in-depth look at the infomal motor service industry which has remained fairly undocumented until now.

In turn, GiPA will offer an extensive skills transfer programme towards QRS and as partners GiPA and QRS will be the main shareholders of this important project. Both partners have the ambition to be the market leader in South Africa and Sub-Saharan countries in order to consolidate GiPA’s worldwide leadership in aftersales research.

AGB MNR and Quest Research Services awarded TAMS Survey

The South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF) has been the custodian of nation's radio listening and TV viewing habits since 1974 through the Radio Audience Measuring Standards (RAMS) and the Television Audience Measuring Standards (TAMS). SAARF awarded the TAMS Survey to AGB MNR in a joint venture with Quest Research Services.

Quest Research Services brings an extensive experience to the table. QRS CEO, Mluleki Ncube was the Technical Support Executive at SAARF for 6 years prior to starting QRS in 2003. QRS operates with over 500 fieldworkers available in all 9 provinces nationwide, all of whom receive constant on the job training and follow South African Marketing Rights Organisation (SAMRA) codes of conduct in interviewing.

Quest will be handling the recruitment for the panel interviews.
